Albert E. Almada

Dr. Albert Almada is an Assistant Professor in the Departments of (1) Orthopaedic Surgery and (2) Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Dr. Almada received his PhD in Biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he trained with 1993 Nobel Prize winner, Dr. Phillip A. Sharp. He completed his post-doctoral training at Harvard University in the laboratory of stem cell biologist, Dr. Amy J. Wagers. Dr Almada’s research interests lie at the interface of basic gene regulation, stem cell biology, and translational medicine.
